Femme Luxe Finery review

Femme Luxe finery review: When I shop I tend to have my go-to retailers that have my back (literally). Anyone that knows me, knows that I might as well have shares in ASOS and could convert anyone that has never tried their premium delivery service.

As for Zara, my ultimate bae, unless a sale is in town and I’m out of there. Ain’t nobody got time for being elbow deep in a jumble of skirts, tops and odd shoes – my patience is always guaranteed to disappear quicker than I ran in.

Also as most of you know, I’m not a huge fan of change either (more bravery points here)! But when FemmeLuxeFinery got in touch and asked if I’d like to collaborate I thought this was the perfect opportunity to try out a new brand and looking at their collection my only issue was not being able to order one of everything!

Femme Luxe Finery review: Crochet for days

The first items that caught my eye on their site, were the Crochet Wide leg pants (£17.99) and Crochet tie front top (£12.99) in coral – which as an outfit is probably a bit out there for my usual personal style. But after seeing so many crochet festival outfits and with an imminent trip to Cyprus on the horizon, I figured they would look pretty cute over a bikini, so these were the first items in my basket.

Normally I’m a size 8, but I ordered a size 6-8 as I was advised they come up a little big and this size fits me perfectly. The trousers are high waisted which I live for (thank F that low rise 90s chic died a death) and the material is super soft and comfy, making for a perfect day beach outfit. The top is also a size 6-8, you can wear over a bra or bikini top and the whole outfit just gives me complete sunshine vibes – team with beachy waves and a tan.

Following my newly adopted crochet obsession, I also spied the White Crochet One Shoulder Midi Dress (£20.99) in white, which was totally my type on paper! Again perfect over a high waisted bikini, with a cute one shoulder design, split leg, as well as a thin belt to cinch in my waist, I was impressed by the quality of the material and how well it fit. I ordered this dress in a S/M which is a UK size 8/10 which fit perfectly and this would look lovely with heels for the evening or sandals in the daytime.

Holiday essentials

Next on my hit list was a back to school special… Black Cropped Basic Leggings (£7.99). I was umming and ahhing for a while over these wondering if I could pull them off, wondering if I’d look more P.E kit chic than fashion queen but I’m glad I ordered them. They are literally perfect for daytime wear, teamed with a baggy T and trainers or even just a bikini top if you’re feeling adventurous. These are a size 8 and are super stretchy and comfy – they also come in a range of different colours, I have my eye on the neon pink and green ones next!

The last thing that I ordered was the blue Paisley Print Circle Beach towel (£13.99) because I couldn’t remember the last time I’d actually had a nice towel for holiday. Not being a huge fan of hotel towels and not really wanting to pack one of my old ones, I figured this was a sensible choice! The towel comes in a little bag which meant it was super easy to pack away and the material is lightweight. After using this by the pool I feel this is more of a beach mat than a towel though, as the material didn’t soak up excess water very easily. But it was perfect to perch on, for a trip to the beach and was extremely easy to dust sand off. One of my favourite things about this towel was the cute little pom pom detailing, serving up serious Moroccan vibes.

After reviewing these products and seeing they were all really good quality, fit like a dream and all arrived quickly with no Hermes drivers in sight, FemmeLuxe is definitely somewhere I’d order from again.

Have you ordered from FemmeLuxe before? I’d love to know what you ordered and what you thought of their collection! xo
